The Friends of Reay are devastated to learn of the untimely death of Riki Hutchinson, father of Oscar (leaver 2021) and long-time trustee and supporter of the Friends of Reay.
Riki was a bright light in our community.
His warm and kind presence gracing countless events: summer and winter fairs, meetings, and special events. His dedication and commitment to the school and community was exemplified by him remaining a trustee and repeatedly volunteering with the BBQ after Oscar left the school. More recently, Riki helped run the bar at the King Groovy event that was just less than 6 months before he died. His unstinting friendship and service to our community will never be forgotten.
Our profound condolences go to Katrina, Oscar, and to all who knew him and enjoyed his friendship.
