Over 60 children, families, and local residents came together for a lively evening of music and celebration at Reay Primary School’s recent community concert.
Organised by the Friends of Reay, the event featured a fantastic live performance from jazz and funk band King Groovy & the Hornstars, showcasing the strong community spirit and creative energy that defines the school.
Thanks to ticket and refreshment sales, the concert raised an impressive £623—a valuable contribution toward the school’s fundraising target of £8,000 to support Moving Matters PE coaches. This initiative helps ensure all pupils continue to benefit from high-quality physical education.
A highlight of the evening was a guest performance by Reay’s own Reception teacher, Lucy Lee, who joined the band on stage as a vocalist—delighting the crowd and adding a personal, unforgettable touch to the night.
It was a magical evening that reinforced the power of music and community at the heart of Reay Primary School.
Donations are still welcome as we work toward our £8,000 goal. Every contribution makes a difference!
